Chapter 840

Vincent's face darkened. "What are you staying for?" Trying to suppress his anger, he mouthed silently, "Are you happy with being a third-wheeler here? Do you want their relationship to be tenser?"

He slowed down his speed as he mouthed the words. Though Rachel didn't fully understand, she froze after getting the gist.

Looking conflicted, she thought, Should I stay or should I go? It doesn't seem appropriate for me to stay. But if I go, Elisa will be here with Gareth alone. What if he does something to her? On top of that, she is still wounded. Gareth is obviously an expert. No one can stop him if he sets his mind on something.

Her faltered expression brought hope to Vincent. However, before he could continue, Rachel replied, "No, I'll stay here tonight – Elisa is injured. It's inconvenient for you guys to take care of her, so I'll do that instead!"

Vincent's face darkened. He thought Rachel was brighter than that, but she was still quite dumb. novelbin

Gritting his teeth, he retorted, "Why do you have to worry when Garreth is here?"

"Garreth is the reason why I am staying, I don't trust him!" Rachel blurted out straightforwardly.

Both Gareth and Vincent were rendered speechless upon hearing that.

Elisa's gaze flickered as she looked at Rachel. "Don't worry about me, Rachel. Go home."

Rachel wanted to say something but was silenced by Gareth's sharp look.

Then, Elisa smiled. "They are right – Gareth will take care of me. Why don't you go back first?"

Elisa didn't want to land Rachel in trouble. Gareth can sometimes be unpredictable – no one knows when he will go crazy. I don't want to worry Rachel.

Rachel frowned, still looking dubious about the plan.

Before she could say something, Vincent lost his patience and grabbed her wrists impatiently. "Let's go! You're not needed here!"

"What? Let me go!" She couldn't get rid of his grip and was forced to walk outside with him. Her growls and complaints had no effect whatsoever.

Vincent's eyes were colored by displeasure. "Shut up and follow me!"

"You jerk! Let me go! Let me go!"

"Shhh!" Their voices slowly became distant.

"Elisa, Elisa…" Rachel said worriedly.

"Don't worry about me." Elisa didn't stop them and merely smiled at Rachel.

Gareth didn't move, but his stony expression slightly alleviated, as no one would interrupt them.

Elisa finally looked at him and asked, "When are you leaving?"

Gareth's face immediately darkened again.

No matter how much Elisa prompted him to leave, he stayed behind.

"I'm staying over tonight."

Elisa was shocked to hear that. What?

"What? Let me go!" She couldn't get rid of his grip and was forced to walk outside with him. Her growls and complaints had no effect whatsoever.
